Boca Juniors
Formed in 1905 by a group of Italian immigrants Boca Juniors rapidly grew to become one of the most famous sides in Argentina and the world.
Diego Maradona is the Buenos Aires side's most famous son, playing at the Bombanera over two spells in the 1980s and 1990s. The little genius remains a fan of his boyhood club to this day.
Only AC Milan have won more international trophies than Boca, who have claimed a remarkable 17, including winning the coveted Copa Libertadores on six occasions.
They share a fierce rivalry with neighbours River Plate and the fixture between the two, known as the Superclįsico, is perhaps the biggest derby game in the world.
